Parish Council Looking for help in keeping our buildings and our young people safe-

Yesterday (9th October) I spoke to some secondary school age boys who had been on the roof of the Pavilion at the recreation ground.
Recently there has been some damage there and we as a Parish Council are concerned for two reasons-
1. Although there are plans in the future to improve the building we do want to keep what we have in a safe state.
2. We do not want anyone to be hurt by climbing on or damage the building.

This is where you come in-
If you are a dog walker or a user of the recreation ground and notice anyone on the roof or any damage to the building. Please report it. If the damage is occurring while you are there please call the police ( we would not expect anyone to challenge anyone causing damage ). If you notice any damage or have any information please contact me (Parish Clerk) at [email protected]

If you are a parent or carer of any young person who you know frequents this area a few guiding words about not being involved in this type of behaviour or in fact being with anyone else who is involved in this behaviour would really help.

Causing damage is of course not want we want but we also do not want any injuries as a result of climbing on buildings.

Thanks very much for your help in advance-
